KPV 10mg – High-Purity Research Peptide
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a synthetic tripeptide derived from the C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has become a growing area of interest in controlled laboratory research due to its interaction with inflammatory signalling pathways, epithelial barrier function and immune regulation. Supplied in lyophilised (freeze-dried) form to preserve stability and peptide integrity, each batch is independently verified at >99% purity (HPLC-tested) and accompanied by a full Certificate of Analysis (COA) to support transparency and reproducibility across research applications.
Elevr supplies KPV strictly as a research-grade peptide.
What is KPV?
KPV is a short tripeptide consisting of the amino acids lysine, proline and valine. It represents the biologically active C-terminal fragment of α-MSH and has been investigated in preclinical models for its interaction with inflammatory mediators and immune signalling pathways. Unlike the parent α-MSH peptide, KPV has been studied for anti-inflammatory mechanisms without the pigmentation-related effects associated with melanocortin signalling.
Within laboratory environments, KPV is commonly explored in research involving gastrointestinal biology, skin physiology, epithelial barrier integrity and inflammatory response models.
Usage & Reconstitution
KPV is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder to maintain long-term stability. In laboratory settings, it may be reconstituted using bacteriostatic water or another suitable solvent in accordance with established research protocols. The peptide typically forms a clear solution following reconstitution; gently swirl the vial to dissolve and avoid vigorous shaking.
Store unopened vials in a sealed container in a cool, dark and dry environment, protected from light and moisture. After reconstitution, store at 2–8°C. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at −20°C, avoiding repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human consumption.
Research Benefits
Preclinical and laboratory investigations have explored KPV in relation to several biological pathways, including:
Inflammatory Pathway Research
Studied for its interaction with inflammatory signalling pathways, including NF-κB and pro-inflammatory cytokine regulation.
Gastrointestinal Research Models
Explored in laboratory studies investigating epithelial barrier integrity, gut physiology and inflammatory bowel research models.
Skin & Dermatology Research
Investigated for its interaction with skin repair mechanisms, epithelial regeneration and inflammatory skin models.
Immune Modulation Studies
Examined for its role in immune signalling and inflammatory response regulation within preclinical research models.
Cellular Repair & Barrier Function Research
Studied for its involvement in cellular repair pathways and maintenance of epithelial barrier function.
Manufacturing Information
KPV is manufactured under strict quality control standards to support consistency, stability and reliability across laboratory research applications.
This product is supplied strictly for laboratory research purposes only. Not for human consumption.
