Ice Pack & Temperature Guidance

The included cooling pack is intended to help maintain a cooler environment during transport, not to freeze research materials.

Before placing the cooling pack inside the case:

1. Freeze the cooling pack according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Remove it from the freezer and allow it to stand at room temperature for a period of time so the surface is no longer excessively cold or frozen solid.
3. Place the cooling pack next to, rather than directly against, temperature-sensitive research materials.
4. Use the internal compartments or a suitable insulating barrier to create separation between the cooling pack and research products.
5. Avoid allowing research materials to come into direct contact with a frozen ice pack, as excessive cold or freezing temperatures may adversely affect certain products.
6. Where a specific research compound has defined storage requirements, follow the manufacturer’s validated temperature and storage instructions rather than relying solely on the cooling case.

The case and cooling pack are intended as a transport aid, not as a replacement for validated laboratory refrigeration or temperature-controlled storage.

Storage & Cleaning

Keep the case clean, dry and securely closed when not in use. Internal surfaces should be cleaned and sanitised using a laboratory-appropriate cleaning or disinfecting agent compatible with the case material. Allow the case to dry completely before placing research materials inside.

The reusable cooling pack should be cleaned and dried after use and stored according to its manufacturer’s instructions.
